We discuss the history of industrial activity from early times to within living memory, covering local, national and international subjects. We like members to contribute with research and presentations. Interest rather than expertise is all that is needed.

The topic of the March 2026 meeting was the Cutlery and Steel Making Industries of Sheffield.
Pictured on the left is the ‘Year Knife’ of 1821, a showpiece made by John Rodgers consisting of 1821 blades, along with (on the right) a steelmaking Bessemer converter.
Upcoming talks include the Medway Industries and Harry Ferguson
