Members of our group volunteer to prepare talks (each of which may be preceded by a short paper for distribution preferably before, if not at, the meeting) on a subject of their choice. Each meeting consists of coffee and an introductory talk, followed by a lively discussion. Members are encouraged to offer to give a talk, but it is not mandatory and may prefer just to listen and then join the discussion.
The subjects of the talks are wide-ranging; we aim to cover them in rather more depth than is usually provided by the media. Past talks have included Energy Policy, Scottish Devolution, The Water Industry, The PPE Controversy and Russian Foreign Policy from an Historical Perspective.
Anyone interested in joining the group would be warmly welcome and may wish to attend one or two meetings to try it out.
