A pile of books

Would you like to discuss books as diverse as Anne Enright's The Wren The Wren, William Faulkner's As I Lay Dying, Italo Calvino's If On A Winter's Night A Traveller or Abdulrazak Gurnah's Paradise with like-minded readers? Members take turns in choosing a book and, once they've settled in, leading a discussion on it. Last year we explored Irish writers but have now moved back to whatever interests us. We find our appreciation of the books chosen considerably enhanced by our discussions.

Our November meeting will be discussing Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, which was published 100 years ago this year.

Our small, friendly group would very much like to welcome some new members. Do get in touch if you'd like to know more.

Download a list of all the books we've read and discussed in the past ten years.
